While the service isn't anything to rave about, the selection of movies are. Despite the complaints, I've noticed that while the staff can be rude. They generally stay out of your way. Especially since I like to peruse the films for long times, I've never felt any pressure to hurry up with my choices as I carefully deliberate on which film I want to rent. I don't often get a chance to rent dvds but on the off time I do, this is the first place I go.

It's a real video store, with scenes straight out of every typical video store clerk movie know to man. Great guys, good selection. At the end of the day, they are passionate about movies... Yes, they can be grumpy sometimes, but hey, suck it up and be nice back... it works after a while : )

This video shop has a large selection of old Films, only few new releases per week and isn't organized well. I just recently joined them, I returned all my DVD's on time and when I wanted to rent out again some DVD's the counter hand insisted that I had a late return charge of $1. I told him that can't be true as I returned the weekly dvd he told me was late one day before it was expected. He deleted it but in doing so was really rude and made me feel like I was the one that did something wrong when I didn't. The service in the store was really disappointing and bad, I wouldn't recommend anyone to become a member there and trust me when I say that I will be canceling my own Video Membership very shortly too as I don't need this grief.

Middle aged lady (MAL) goes up to the counter of Video Vision Carlisle Street and says: "I'd like to take these DVDs out please. (Kurosawa, Madmen 3 and the Producers), Oh, and I found this film 'Slumdog Millionaires' in Comedy, I was going to put it back in drama but it has a comedy sticker on it, you might want to change that. I also owe you for 30 Rock cos I brought it back late." Spotty twenty-something film nerd (STSFN) says without a hint of irony "Yeah that's right, Slumdog Millionaire IS Comedy." Taken aback, the MAL says, in shock: "What? You think pouring boiling oil into the eyes of children is comedy?" STSFN snaps: "Yep!" staring at MAL with venom in his squinty little eyes. MAL: "But this film shows people being tortured by having electrodes attached to their testicles!" STSFN: "Yep, comedy". Another guy with brains (GWB) behind the counter jumps in with: "Oh we have so many copies of this film we put it in every section, it's even in the Australian section!" GWB clearly embarrassed by STSFN's obnoxious behaviour and trying desperately, honourably to lighten the situation.. STSFN says sarcastically: "And yet, it has a BIG song and dance number at the end!" He charges MAL for her films. She has to remind him about 30 Rock. MAL: "30 Rock, yeah that's a comedy! And I don't need a bag. STSFN; Thank you. MAL: (Mutters as leaving the store) "was I just in an episode of South Park?"
