This was a great experience. We went here for a birthday dinner and enjoyed food I've never eaten before and don't think I could find anywhere else around Brisbane. The service was great and the prices were good. All of the staff spoke kindly and professionally and food came out at very well timed intervals. All these things were great but the food was the real star. If you are with a group try a few entrees and share some sangria. The Lomo Saltado was an absolute standout. The Mole Poblano is an acquired taste so consider whether or not you will like chocolate and chicken before you order, but definitely worth the experience. I also really appreciated the chef coming out to talk to us and make sure everything was to our liking. All in all I would recommend Villa Maria to anybody and I can't wait to go back!

Went here on the spur of the moment, not knowing what to expect. Service was incredible and the food was amazing and really well priced. The waiter was awesome and when we asked to put on some music the whole restaurant lifted. At the end of the night we decided we had to tip the waiter and also the chef because it was genuinely outstanding

Went here with my partner. Ordered a trio of dips and Tamale de Gallina for entrees. The portions were generous and literally had us almost full prior to the mains. The tamale was a unique dish that I have never tried before so I can't really compare on whether it was good or bad to other tamales. However just the uniqueness of the taste and the freshness made it one of those dishes to try. Mains we had Fritanga de Managua and Mole Poblano. What shocked me the most was the second dish with Mexican chocolate with chicken. Needless to say it worked very well. Again, dishes were presented well and portions were generous. The cuts of the steak were very tender and lean. To top it off we had the jug of sangria. Nice and fresh, possibly a bit too much red wine but neither of us complained which we drank to our hearts content. Service was excellent with the waiter being polite and explaining the menu very well. Was also very attentive. Cost was fairly expensive with the overall thing rounding out to be $110. However you get what you pay for and I shall certainly be coming back here to try the various dishes.

Was looking forward to dining out here. Probably set the expectations too high. Booked ahead for a table, but almost got turned away on arrival. Once seated it took a full 20 minutes just to get menus and a drink ordered. Was quite underwelmed by the quality of the food, and had to eventually get up and just about walk out before I could pay the bill. Will not be returning...

The service was delightful, friendly and organised. The food was amazing and all made fresh, including hand made tortillas. Easily the best Latin American cuisine in Brisbane. Loved it!
