Vulcan's

Relatively simple food for 'fine dining', but amazingly well done. Outstanding!

I give a three star rating based on my expectations of what it should have been. It would have been very good food for a cafe at half the price. For a proposed 5 star restaurant, it was lacking. Food, ambience and service were all nice, but not worth the price tag.

Sublime! we had a fabulous lunch at Vulcans on one of the hottest September days ever! It was lovely to walk into this cool clean sanctuary. We were offered home made bread which I tried to resist, alas the smell beconned. Two slices later, I still wanted more! perhaps they woudl sell me a loaf next time!!! The delicate flavours of my salmon in a light curry sauce were sublime as were the contrasting flavours of the signature chequerboard desert. Service was excellent and the venue just lovely. Love the outdoor area and the cleaness of the bathroom . The Aesop handwash was an especially nice touch! As for the blue mountains, they were at their glorious best! The blossom were out and the rhododendrons in bloom. I say give them back their star! Either way we are going back for more - cant wait!
