The location truly makes this pub. Views of the city are remarkable! The outdoor section has undergone renovations making it a much nicer place to be in... but someone still needs to sort out the lines and ambiguous seating situations.

Try the Sportsman's bar or Local's alley at the back of the pub for a different view of the Wattobay. There is always an interesting conversation to be had if you strike up a conversation with a local! Tuesday night is Trivia night and its always a good night with plenty of laughs and prizes on offer.

They really market this place as high-end, beautiful place where you could have your wedding, but the reality is very different. What I found was a severely understaffed bar, tables that aren't cleared quickly enough the birds eat the leftovers, and the majority of the time the tables are sticky, so you wonder if they are ever cleaned. The staff are ok, depending on who you get, varying from rude (but by the looks of it, over worked) to really chatty which holds everything up. I'm saying all this, it's such a great spot, the view is just breath taking and it's right next to the wharf for a quick trip to/from the city.

Watsons Bay Hotel is a great place to visit. You can get there by bus or on the ferry and it only takes around 30 minutes to get there. There is the famous Doyles fish restaurant and beach and there is also a cheaper alernative with a small fish and chip kiosk on the wharf. There are spectacular views of the city from here too and you can walk around the headland.
