Zeffirelli - Belconnen, 5 Chandler Street, Belconnen

Best Italian in Canberra. The staff are so friendly and nothing is to much trouble. I always feel like part of the family, I'm not just a customer. I highly recommend it.

I've been a fan of Zeffirelli's for a while, but over the past few years the quality and value have really gone downhill. This was topped off by my last experience- we arrived and the waitress began to seat us, when the manager (/owner?) began to yell at her incredibly rudely because they were so busy and he wasn't sure we'd fit. We were given a table up the back, which we'd have to move a baby sleeping in a pram to get to, so we decided to just get takeaway. Then the angry manager insisted, and moved the table and the pram. It only got worse from here. They got our drinks order wrong, took ages to take our food order (3 pizzas and a pasta). The pasta arrived 10 minutes before the pizzas, and the last pizza never showed up. I live just around the corner, but I'm not sure I'll ever go back; there are much tastier, cheaper restaurants just as well located.

Have never had a more awful experience. Terrible service - didn't know how to make a caesar salad nor did they care, very rude, terrible food, osso bucco was bland and barely warm. Slippery, dirty floors, cramped table seating. Will never eat at a Zeffirellis again.

Had a nice atmosphere, waiters are generally nice... The food can be very tasty BUT really expensive!
