Bayswater B & B Homestay

My experience in bayswaterbb was very pleasant, had a quiet upstairs room with great views of the city from the sitting room balcony. it was clean and a bargain for $80 night. Also the station was 2 minutes walk and shops and plenty of cafes and food outlets close by. I would recommend it.

Very poor experience. Uncomfortable bed, very hot room except when the air conditioner was on, included 'breakfast' is cereal and milk, which was off. The proprietor wasn't home when we arrived, though the whole place was unlocked, leaving us to sit awkwardly for over an hour until he arrived. Several days later he randomly declared that he wanted all the money on the spot, in cash. No receipt. After catching a train to the nearest ATM I had to weave through the house he's building and up loose stairs with no handrail to give it to him. Oh, and we had to specifically ask for more toilet paper. Ridiculous for the money we were charged - well over $100 a night.

This place is very bad, upstairs and hot. is you like sleeping with an airconsitioner on, fruit with bugs living in them, cold showers and a very unkept property then this is the place for you. they charge a premium for rubbish, there are better places out there for less.

Stayed April 2010 for 3 nights. Great people, nice clean functional B&B. Comfy bed. Train station 5 mins walk. Highly recommended.
