Mix with the locals at Burnt Orange. It's a lovely spot to enjoy a coffee overlooking Sydney harbour, have a leisurely lunch or a weekend breakfast. The service is generally okay and the food is pretty reliable. If there is soup on the menu it is great on a colder day with some chewy bread, the risotto is also a good option. I highly recommend taking things slow and enjoy a walk down to Middle Head after your meal.

Burnt Orange is a MUST for Breakfast! I love love love it. I travel 40 minutes to get here just to have their breakfast. A must try is strawberry pancakes with Ricotta. My friend has the bacon pancakes they are great also. Took mum there for mothers day and she is love also. The decor is amazing and the view are even better. Definately a must do for any Sydney sider.

Burnt Orange is usually crowded and quite difficult to get a table on the weekends, so I'd recommend booking if you don't like lining up. It's crowded for a reason though - the food, atmosphere and location are hard to beat. Sometimes I've had slow service due to how busy it is, but the staff are always friendly and apologetic. The downside is the parking - around $7 an hour without too many other options nearby. A bonus is the 'shabby chic' style gift shop attached, where you can pick up gifts, clothes and homewares. Worth a visit!

Burnt Orange is a great local cafe with a wide variety on the menu and a shop integrated with the cafe. I had the fish pie which tasted delicious and was definitely value for money considering this place is on the more expensive side for cafe food. Family and friends ordered beef casserole, roast lamb, fish of the day, and the steak with no complaints and full tummy's. Only minus of the day was that the dishes took close to 45 mins to reach the table but that's ok if you got family and friends to talk to. I will be back!!!

This cafe/gift shop is located near Clifton Gardens and makes the perfect weekend outing for lunch or afternoon tea. The warming fish pie and grainy soda bread are hearty and comforting, perfect if you've just enjoyed a brisk walk along the ocean on a winter's day (or a scuba dive in Chowder Bay). The attached gift shop is a mum/auntie/gran trap and has some great craft, book and jewelry finds.
