Cafe Moretti

We had pizza for lunch. Good size and presentation. Value for money.

Have had two terrible experiences here. First time the waiter forgot to place our order with the kitchen and it wasnt until we enquired 45 minutes later did he realise he had forgotten to do so. Second time months later the same waiter got our order completely wrong. Food was terrible in that instance. Hair in the salad. Felt like we were getting.blamed for the poor quality of food. Will not be back...

What could have been a really nice experience was spoiled by a chef who was in a bad mood and was having great difficulty in organising our meals. The poor waitress had to remind him of our order a couple of times and was clearly quite frustrated. She did a great job under difficult circumstances. The food was quite good but hard to justify going back until the chef decides to leave!

I love Moretti's. Friendly staff (including their jovial cake-making master from France), good service, plesant atmosphere, great coffee and mouth-watering range of cakes and pastries. They even have some miniture serving sizes for those who like a taste without 10000 calories. Any time I'm meeting a friend in the area, I suggest Moretti's. My only criticism would be that their air-conditioning system is a bit over-enthusiastic, so make sure you're not underdressed. If you rock up in a singlet, shorts and thongs, you might want to consider take-away. I guess no where is 100% perfect. :)
