Our timber bathroom vanity had seen better days.... After more than several quotes from others which were based on not much more than a quick look and an "approx" verbal price, we found Chris, who spent the right amount of time looking at the piece, discussing the options and providing additional information that we had not previously considered such as plumbing issues. Chris provided a detailed quote in a professional manner. But most of all his quote expressed to us a true dedication to the job, based on many years experience and a respect for quality workmanship and customer service. Chris has restored our vanity to a level that exceeded our expectations and that we are delighted with. His skill as a craftsman is outstanding. He kept us up to date with the progress and even invited us into his workshop to view the job mid term. We are more than happy with the result. An outstanding job. The before and after photos are on his website. Thank you Chris. Looking forward to our next piece and a second review. Jenny and Stewart Fisher.

Chris restored a very well used Parker style sofa for me recently. His price and the quality of craftsmanship were excellent, he managed all aspects of the restoration including repairs and finishing of the timber frame as well as the new upholstery. I am extremely pleased with the final result and would recommend him to anyone.

Chris repaired our beloved dining room chairs. Not only did he repair them delicately, innovatively and unobtrusively, he also picked them up from our home and delivered them back when the work had been completed. Even though we'd never worked with Chris before we could tell by the careful way he packed and transported them that they would be well looked after. We look forward to contacting Chris for his quiet and helpful expertise next time we need some furniture repairs.

Chris's workmanship, quality and eye for detail is fantastic. He recently completed the building of a new front door and door frame out of Tassie Blackwood. Chris was great to deal with and was up front with every thing and kept me posted on progress of the job. I am more than happy to recommend him for type of work and thank you. Stuart Leverton

The Crafty Old Woodworker recently made repairs to our 1950's timber lounge including making new seat and backrest cushions and covers. Chris was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and capable and always kept me informed of the job progress. The work was completed on time and at a very reasonable price. We are very happy with the final product. I would definitely recommend him for your furniture repairs or restoration.
