I recently parked my vehicle with ezy Parking at the Gold Coast. I thought it would be a good option rather than catching a shuttle. I had a call on the day I was to return from Ezy Parking asking if i had a demobilzer on my car. I said yes and told them how it worked. I arrived back on the Gold Coast at 7.30 at night and about 8.15 was informed they could not start my car. Ezy parking could not understand this as they drove the car to the parking area on the day I departed fine. I was taken to the parking area and also could not get the car started. I call the RACQ and being in NSW an NRMA service man arrived about an hour later. He also couldn't start the car and said the engine had a sensor shutting it down. Next morning the a tow truck came and towed the car to a local mechanic. He rung me about 30 minutes later to say the car was going fine. The mechanic had found the micro switch out of the key on the front floor of the car. The key was sealed when i got given it to start the car on the night I arrived back and it is no easy task to undo the key. I did call Ezy parking and tell them the that the micro switch was on the front floor of the car. I was told that it had nothing to do with them. I cannot understand this response when the key would have had to be opened for the switch to be on the front floor of the car. This has ended up with the cost of the parking $120.00 and another $190 for taxis home and mechanic and transport back to pick up the car the next day. I have since emailed EZY parking to give them a second chance to respond. This is over a week and I have not had a reply. I will say the man who picked me and my 83 year old mum up from the Airport was very helpful. I would not recommend this company, on their lack of responbility and reaction to what was found to be the problem. The key can't open its self and shut its self back up. I have also been told by another mechanic the key for this make of car is one of the hardest to open. Ask yourself would you want this happening to you.
