Fu Long Seafood Restaurant

Strong flavoured cooking. Good seafood selection with cheap price tag. But not restaurant standard interior or service

I am from Hong Kong, and I have to say, Fu Long got the A Grade Dim Sum even compare with traditional Hong Kong Restaurants. I was bit touched that I can taste a real Dim Sum even I was miles away from home. It is a no frill place, you got the great food with reasonable price. The service is quick and get to the point. It is always busy, and the waitress may need to rush sometime, but they are patient and always helpful. However, I once saw the next table asked a lots of questions when trying to order the DIM SUM each time, I really don't think they have the luxury to do that. It's what 'real' DIM SUM place support to be, you feel the energy of life. I really enjoyed the visit there.

Good quality yum cha

It is a great place for a family for a family Sunday lunch. We love it! It is the sort of place that Chinese families like to go so you can tell the food must be authentic, rather than 'Westernized'! We learn now if we want to have a good Chinese food, we have to follow Chinese people and go to the restaurant that Chinese like to go to so this is it! Great portion, great taste, but very busy, so you need to book the table before turning up. As there is often ques all the way out of the door to white horse road, sometimes, even we've already booked our table, we just couldn't get through the door to get in to the restaurant. It shows you how busy it is. Service is really fast, however, sometimes, you can expect that such a busy restaurant, may not always be the one that offers the great, tentative service, which is understandable. For the great taste of the meal, and the authentic of the cuisine and the busy nature of the service, the value on the money you spent in this restaurant is great. The only thing that I really don't like is the bathroom facility. It is almost the same for most of the 'Chinese' restaurants, toilets are shockingly filthy. Anyone agree with me?

Best yum cha in Melbourne. We always go on Saturday morning dead on 10.30 am when they start the trolleys. There is always a huge vareity so don't make the mistake of ordering lots of baskets on the first lot of trolleys. The prawn dumplings taste like the prawns were caught that morning. It is obvious that all the food was prepared with pride & love. Such a joy to eat there.
