Indian Star

Curries with little flavour, stodgy bread. Sent my main course back but it was still inedible the second time so no dinner for me. Restaurant was overbooked. 2 tables stuck in what was obviously the waiting room for take-away food - right next to a large drinks fridge which blew air on us. The worst Indian food we've had. How can they have been in business so long?

Wonderful flavours, very authentic. Service was good. They forgot our drinks but quickly fixed that when they realised.

Went here on a busy SAT night.. fully packed.. service was prompt and attentive and quality of food backed up the wonderful night we had. clean crip linen, clean cuttlery and wine glasses together with a good selection of wine and drinks menu. A well dererved award winning restaurant.

Had heard about this place and called them up to enquire about the timings and parking space, was not told that a booking system was in place. I ended up taking my family for dinner that evening only to be asked by the staff whether i had a prior booking and that too when the place looked completely deserted to me(minus reservation tags on the tables) The way i was asked about prior booking was in a very rude manner and when i mentioned his rudeness, he turned his back on to me and in a body language meant get lost. I had to walk out of the restaurant with my family, looking for another place. I came accross Magic Mint in Moonee ponds and had a very good evening with my family out there. I guess the staff at Indian star could learn some basic mannerism and etiquettes from the staff of Magic mint.
