Koko at Crown Casino is perhaps our favourite Japanese restaurant in Melbourne. Seasonal ingredients are treated with traditional flavours to make for clean, healthy and delicious eating. When coupled with the stunning views of the Yarra, and a fit out which just oozes with tranquility, this five star establishment is sure hard to beat!

Great food, decor, ambience and excellent service. In terms of food the standouts were the Gyuniku tataki (seared beef) and the Patagonian toothfish with teriyaki sauce. The prices certainly aren't cheap but for that special occasion it's definitely worth the experience.

4 of us booked in for a very delightful evening with some really good food. Overall I would definitely recommend this restaurant to a Melbourne visitor, however; I will say that for the most part the food was not that much better than you would find at a decent japanese restaurant. The quality of the food was very high, the service was a bit hit and miss (they were short staffed as we found out). The highlight of the night for me was the wagyu beef with spinach, it was beautiful! For me I would definitely come here again if I was looking to impress and wanted a safe option. It is expensive, but it is a very nice setting and gives the impression of a high end restaurant.

For Koko....you must expect prices in any restaurant within the bounds of Crown to be pricey. After all, you are in a prime location in Melbourne, and the leases have to be covered. The food was amazing at the Tepanyaki table, traditional sharing of barbecued delights. Meet other diners in conversation. It is a gastronomical experience if you've not tried it and David Su, the manager is wonderful at answering any question you may have concerning foods and particularly the history and places their saki comes from. I'm planning a very special occasion there. Gourmet from TheWineAndTheDine.

Quite expensive, but a unique experience in itself. The interior is beautiful! One of the best looking restaurants in Melbourne.
