Fountain Inn Hotel

The Coke soft drink was good, properly mixed soda and syrup, unlike some places where you order a Coke and u more or less get soda water. Ordered crumbed fish and chips with salad. The crumbed fish pieces were dark and dry - overcooked, and the chips were dark too - cooked too long. Maybe they were distracted while the food was cooking. I ordered circular sausage. It was a heavy, chewey meat sausage with some discolouration and tough skin. Ambience was nice but veeeery quiet... wonder why :) Might try them again in 12 months.

Love this unassuming place. Service is brilliant: consistently friendly and helpful. Food is generous. Front bar has awesome "country pub" feel, beer garden accommodates four legged friends and big screen sport. Don't tell your friends - just bring 'em!

I've lived around the corner for years and never visited just because I hadn't heard much.. A great hidden gem in the East End though. The staff are incredibly friendly, and they deserve a huge round of applause for their attitude and quality of service. The food was delicious, delivered fast and was a good pub-size serving that I couldn't finish. Big thumbs up Fountain, nice work.
